Almost 20 years ago, I picked up a camera because I loved taking pictures of people.

I had no idea where it would take me.

Over the years, photography turned into so much more than taking good photos. I started working with businesses, churches, and people who were doing really great things…but sometimes just needed help figuring out how to show people what they were doing.

And I realized that's the part I really love.

Sometimes that looks like taking a headshot that feels like you.

Sometimes it's building a website that makes sense.

Sometimes it's helping a church figure out how to better tell the story of what's happening inside its walls.

But after all these years, I still really love having a camera in my hand.

I love meeting people, getting to know them, and taking someone who walks in saying, “I hate having my picture taken,” and helping them actually relax in front of my camera. There’s still something pretty great about showing someone the back of my camera and watching them realize, “Wait...I actually love that.”

And I think that's really what ties everything I do together.
